Who is private jeweler Fernando L. Enriquez?

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mr. Enríquez  apprenticed with exclusive jewelers and jewelry makers in the historic district of Old San Juan. In 1993, he received a graduate degree from the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California, where he achieved his G.G.  in diamonds, colored and precious stones, pearls, and jewelry design. In 1998, he completed a post-graduate masters program in rough diamonds at the prestigious International Gemological Institute in Antwerp, Belgium, the loose diamond cutting capital of the world. In 1994, Mr. Enríquez relocated to Miami, Florida to represent an internationally-renowned group of Italian jewelry manufacturers before founding PIANGOLA in 1995. He is an active member of The Gemological Institute of America Alumni Association and has served on the Board of Directors of The Jane Stern Dorado Library in Puerto Rico. He is also an avid race car enthusiast and a member of the Porsche Club of America.

How can I best assess the quality of diamonds I purchase from PIANGOLA?

The Gemological Institute of America has credentialed PIANGOLA as knowledgeable, technical experts in gemstone grading to accurately assess color, cut, carat and clarity. Piangola only sells GIA-graded diamonds and all purchases include authentic GIA grading documentation.

Can I visit PIANGOLA for a personal consultation?

PIANGOLA operates three centralized showrooms located in prestigious jewelry and diamond districts in Miami, Florida, New York City, and San Juan Puerto Rico; however, these are secure facilities used to house merchandise. Personal consultations most often take place at client locales, in the comfort of home, office or vacation location, privately or with family.

What other services does PIANGOLA offer?

PIANGOLA offers a full range of services for jewelry, watch and precious metal clients. Services include gemstone grading, jewelry and watch appraisals, assessments of authenticity, jewelry and watch repairs, jewelry and watch cleaning, and assessing the possible repurposing of gemstones and precious metals to create new pieces. PIANGOLA also buys precious metals, and one-of-a-kind estate jewelry.

What forms of payment does PIANGOLA accept?

We accept wire transfers, business checks, personal checks and cash. Clients paying by credit card are subject to a 3% surcharge to accommodate American Express, Visa, and MasterCard processing fees.

Does PIANGOLA accept returns?

Yes. Our commitment to excellent customer service extends beyond the original purchase. Jewelry and watches may be returned within 45 days of the original date of purchase, provided the jewelry is in “as sold”, original condition. Once the merchandize has been received and inspected for original condition, a refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

What warranties of quality or guarantees of authenticity does PIANGOLA include with each purchase?

PIANGOLA stands by the quality and authenticity of all jewelry and watches we sell, offering a 100% money-back guarantee within 90 days of purchase. Any client concerns regarding quality of workmanship or defects beyond the 90-day period are considered on a case by case basis. These warranties and guarantees apply only to the original purchaser.

How are my purchases shipped? Does PIANGOLA ship merchandise internationally outside the U.S.?

Once a jewelry piece or pieces have been chosen and payment has been received, merchandise is available for showroom pickup, locally shipped via courier, armored courier, or FedEx priority overnight, discretely packaged with the appropriate insurance coverage. International shipping is also available.
